There are two rival bidders for the troubled bank. Richard Branson's Virgin Group, and a management team led by Paul Thompson. Both have improved their offers for the bank and are awaiting a decision by the Government as to the future of the bank.
Several major shareholders are planning to vote against the Virgin bid, while the government may still choose to privatize.
One major shareholding organization has threatened to sue the Government if it chooses this option.
Untaxed vehicles.
A report by MP's reveals an alarming increase in untaxed vehicles on UK roads .
One in 20 vehicles is now untaxed, costing law-abiding citizens at least £214million last year.
Yet the Government and the Driver Vehicle Licensing Agency admit they have no idea how big the problem is, says a highly critical report by Parliamentary watchdogs.
The road tax system could easily become "a complete laughing stock", warns the Public Accounts Committee.
